The Director, Total Rewards and Systems is responsible for demonstrating thought leadership on the development of total rewards methodologies and approaches, leading the implementation of new projects and initiatives and directing the service delivery of the compensation and benefits team in the following areas: Compensation, Recognition, Benefits, Wellness, HRIS workflow and process design, Compliance (i-9, immigration and related), Team Member Events and related activities.
Develop, communicate and administer competitive total rewards strategies, including compensation, benefits, retirement, engagement and other work experience programs, that are cost effective and consistent with labor market trends and organizational objectives.
Partner with Plant and Corporate HR teams, department stakeholders, and vendors to ensure that all compensation and rewards programs support the efforts to cultivate a diverse, talented, and engaged workforce.
Responds to team member requests and inquiries for information, assistance, support and resources regarding compensation, benefits and wellness initiatives.
Trains, develops, coaches and mentors Human Resources team in the areas of Benefits, Rewards, Compliance and Systems.
Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; obtaining qualified opinions; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
Assures all compliance related duties and responsibilities are maintained in a way that mitigates the risk to the company (I-9, immigration, 5500, etc.)
Maintains all HR related information confidential.
Direct the company's health and welfare plans, specifically the medical, dental, life, disability, voluntary, 401K benefit plans, FSA/HSA, COBRA and others in accordance with approved plan designs.
Manage the company's leave of absence programs, including FMLA, Non-FMLA Leave, State Leaves, Personal Leave and all other forms of leave, utilizing both internal and external resources.
Develops, manages and executes the company's wellness program; including all communication and education and the development and execution of wellness and consumerism initiatives.
Assists employees with issues for: medical, prescription, dental, vision, non-work related disability claims, and COBRA events as necessary.
Reviews reports and demonstrates the effectiveness of benefits programs by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends.
Partners with department leaders and Human Resource Business Partners to manage compensation programs appropriate for their business needs and consistent with the organization's overall reward strategy.
Provide analysis and recommendations to department leaders on pay decisions.
Gather market-based compensation data and compare market data to internal jobs to ensure internal equity.
Conduct audits and take actions to ensure jobs are correctly classified according to FLSA guidelines.
Designs and implements appropriate the recognition programs designed to recruit and retain a highly skilled and effective workforce.
Directs the Total Rewards team who is responsible for all aspects of employee event management, for example: planning, budget planning and adherence, contracting services, catering, AV, decor, branding and event execution and post event analysis for year-over-year improvements.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Working with the IT team, direct the design, selection and implementation or modification of HRIS and other HR computer solutions.
Identify and provide HR related information through reports, dashboards and other methods to assist managers in analyzing, forecasting and managing their departments.
Bachelor Degree in HR Management, Business Administration, Finance or a related field. Master's Degree preferred.
At least six (6) years in Human Resources with at least two (2) years management experience in the areas of self-funded benefits, compensation, recognition and employee events or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Human Resources certification preferred (CBP, CCP, PHR, SPHR).
Proven ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and effectively manage multiple complex projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment.
Prior experience with salary management, job evaluation, job descriptions and market analyses.
