As a member of the ITS Leadership Team, the Executive Director sets the strategic direction for and oversees the newly formed ITS Portfolio Management Office (PMO) to ensure IT projects meet organization goals, functional requirements and delivery milestones. Additionally the Executive Director is responsible for establishing and implementing standard, consistent project management processes and policies, directing PMO staff and working with other members of the ITS Leadership Team to define, prioritize, and develop programs and projects within the broader technology portfolios. Finally, the Executive Director provides leadership for operations of the ITS demand management process with the campus technology advisory boards through the Associate Director of Demand and Premium Services.
Education & Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
8 - 13 years of related experience.
Experience leading or contributing to the creation of a Portfolio Management Office (PMO).
Experience as a project manager in an information technology organization.
Typically 2 - 5 years of experience managing an information technology organization.
Project Management Professional (PMP)
Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundation v3 or higher
