The Division of Mechanical Engineering at IUPUC invites applications for a tenured faculty position at the rank of Associate or Full Professor to start August 1, 2020. The position is a full-time, ten-month teaching assignment. Rank will depend on qualifications and experience.
IUPUC delivers the full undergraduate ME curriculum for the EAC of ABET accredited Purdue University BSME degree offered by the Purdue School of Engineering and Technology at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI). The Division of Mechanical Engineering at IUPUC is housed in the Cesar Pelli designed Advanced Manufacturing Center of Excellence.

Applicants must hold a Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related engineering field and hold the rank of Associate or Full Professor at a regionally-accredited institution of higher and be tenure-eligible at IUPUC (http://go.iupuc.edu/2bJQ). A strong record of commitment to quality undergraduate instruction, scholarly research, and service is required. Service to the campus includes program leadership and supporting ABET accreditation for the program. Must be able to teach a variety of courses in the curriculum tracks. Effective communication skills are required.

Experience track or program leadership, and experience with the EAC of ABET accreditation process is strongly preferred. Teaching, research and/or industrial practical experience is preferred in one or more of the following curriculum tracks: Advanced Dynamics (dynamic systems, instrumentation, controls, actuators, mechatronics, circuits); Core Areas (statics, dynamics, mechanics of deformable bodies, fluid mechanics, kinematics and design of machine elements); and Design (design methodology, innovation, IP, high volume manufacturing processes, business planning, rapid prototype development, economic analysis, project planning and leadership), with some interest or experience in teaching courses related to introductory electrical and electronic circuits, including introduction to analog and digital electronic circuits.
