Landon School seeks a Director of Auxiliary Programs. This position is for you if you are passionate about education, you enjoy working creatively and collaboratively, can manage projects successfully from start to finish, and love a fast paced environment.
Landon is an independent school for boys in grades 3–12, located on a beautiful 75-acre campus in Bethesda, Maryland. As the Director of Auxiliary Programs, you play a pivotal role in generating essential revenue for the school’s operating budget. You will manage and execute a robust summer program consisting of over 2,800 campers and develop and implement a new after school enrichment program for both students and parents. No day is the same for the Director of Auxiliary Programs -- from budgeting and recruiting to program development and customer service, you are a teacher, event planner, manager, and entrepreneur all rolled into one.
Responsible for setting short and long term vision for summer program.
Manages database for online registrations and serves as webmaster for camp webpage.
Creates, manages and monitors budgets.
Supervises the day-to-day operations of camp and all summer personnel.
Provide high quality customer service to Landon Summer families.
Oversees recruitment, onboarding, and staff training.
LEAP (Landon Enrichment and After School Program)
Develops and executes an innovative, revenue generating enrichment program that includes after school enrichment activities, aftercare, weekend/evening student classes, and adult workshops.
Prepares and executes marketing strategies, with the goal of increasing enrollment, revenue and profit.
Supervises the day-to-day operations of LEAP and all part-time staff.

You are detail oriented, creative, motivated, positive and flexible; exhibit integrity and discretion; and work collaboratively with colleagues. You have prior camp director and other auxiliary programs experience with a proven record of success with project management, customer service, and business development.
A willingness to work flexible hours, weekends and evenings when necessary, and longer hours during summer camp season is essential, and you should have a minimum of 4+ years in a supervisory role. Other important skills include a proficiency in Microsoft Office, Finalsite, database systems (Ultracamp preferred), and other technological tools as well as experience working with budgets and financial tracking.
