Working alongside the Vice President and Chief Information Officer, the Associate Vice President (AVP) for Academic Technology & Campus Engagement will help guide Sacramento State in the effective delivery and continuous improvement of inclusive, campus-wide information technology services for diverse campus audiences including faculty, staff, and students.
At the Information Resources & Technology Division level, you’ll help ensure strategic alignment, consistency, and effectiveness across all functions to deliver value and reinforce our role as a trusted campus partner. You’ll supervise and coach a variety of cross-functional teams including Service Desk, Desktop Services, Print Programs, Academic Technology and Universal Design, Learning Space Services (Classrooms), and Web/Mobile Services. You’ll also be a steward of the Accessible Technology Initiative (ATI) to help lead continuous improvement for digital instructional materials, web accessibility, and technology procurement.
You’ll champion data-driven decision making, cloud-hosted applications, software as a service, and blended instructional design models and learning theories. Representing IRT at a leadership level, you’ll partner with campus units, Faculty Senate, fellow CSU campuses, and other shared governance organizations to advance strategic projects and initiatives focused on student success, reducing time to degree, and teaching and learning with technology.
Education Master’s Degree in Instructional Design/Technology, Higher Education, or a related field from an accredited university, or a Doctorate in a relevant discipline.
Minimum and Preferred Qualifications For full minimum and preferred qualifications, please view the full position post. Hiring range $11,250 to $13,333 monthly; starting salary for well qualified candidates will typically be near the mid-point of the hiring range.
