Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Program Coordinator I for the Rutgers’ School of Social Work. The Program Coordinator I reports to the Senior Program Administrative Supervisor and is responsible for coordinating multiple facets of NJCWTP projects, and/or processes with planning, project preparation and identifies program resources and needs. The Coordinator also assume primary responsibility for scheduling venues, assigning trainers and managing the marketing of courses through an online learning management system.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Provides technical, administrative and logistical support, and gathers data for stakeholder reports.
Serves as liaison and interfaces with stakeholders to determine special project requirements, modifications and to ensure open communication.
Represents NJCWTP and IFF at meetings and trainings to deliver support and education.
Assists with daily operations of special projects and training events, including symposiums, small conferences, classroom-based trainings, webinars and other brief learning experiences.
Interfaces with full-time staff and independent consultants to schedule in-person or online trainings and learning events, identify host venues, and coordinate logistics.
Maintains and monitors project plans. Regularly prepare reports and track training offerings for management and stakeholders.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Requires a bachelor's degree.
A minimum of five years' related experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Must possess exceptional organizational and communication skills, strong project management skills, advanced computer literacy, the ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced team
Ability to work independently and to project a professional image and represent the Institute for Families effectively
Must have a clear understanding of administration, record-keeping, and Microsoft Office programs with the ability to be detail oriented while managing multiple diverse tasks and assignments.
Use of personal vehicle in order to travel for business demands; a valid driver's license would be required for this position.

Ability to interact effectively with very diverse people and with a wide range of stakeholders;
Ability to manage time and projects in order to complete work thoroughly and on time;
This position requires a professional understanding of work of the child welfare staff supporting families and children in New Jersey and be able to apply this understanding to his/her responsibilities and professional relationship. This requirement is necessary because it is directly related to how the Coordinator works with DCP&P local office staff, the preparation of course content, and the assignment of trainers who facilitate knowledge in the classroom.
Education in a human service field
Experience with Training Coordination on a large scale highly desired

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
General office environment including light lifting.
Must have a valid driver's license and be willing to travel, when necessary, to sites throughout New Jersey using personal vehicle.
