North Greenville University seeks a qualified individual for Associate Dean of the School of Communication with a commensurate Faculty Position in Communication Arts. Rank assignment will be commensurate with education/experience. This position includes a competitive salary and benefit package.

The School of Communication is a vibrant and creative community with over 100 majors in Digital Media, Broadcast Media, Media Ministry, and Communication. The department houses The Vision campus newsmagazine, Vision Online, The Vibe radio station, and VisonTV.
Candidates should have a strong background and/or professional experience related to a specialized discipline within the communication field. Successful candidates will be able to teach classes for a variety of majors. The ideal candidate would have academic leadership experience. Candidates must have a Christian commitment and the ability to integrate the Christian faith with traditional coursework.
The responsibilities of the Associate Dean include budget oversight, curriculum development, faculty development, course scheduling, program review, and other responsibilities assigned by the Dean. General faculty responsibilities include student advising, committee assignments, and other responsibilities assigned by the Dean.
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a master’s degree in communication or related field is required. Preference will be given to applicants holding an earned terminal degree in communication or related field. ABD candidates will be considered. Effective teaching experience, evidence of scholarly research, and a passion for teaching are also required.
Preference will be given to candidates who can teach a wide variety of communication classes, including core and mass communication courses.
