The successful candidate will be expected to establish and maintain an active externally funded research program, achieve excellence in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, advise students, and participate in departmental governance.
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering is strongly committed to excellence in both research and teaching at the graduate and undergraduate levels. The department offers an ABET-accredited B.S. degree program in Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering, M.S. program in Electrical Engineering, and joint Ph.D. program in Electrical Engineering. The ECE Department has over 30 full-time and part-time faculty members, including 3 IEEE Fellows. Research areas in the department include, analog and digital integrated circuits, computer networks, embedded systems, signal processing and communication systems, antennas, RF and electromagnetic compatibility, machine learning and artificial intelligence, power electronics and smart grid.
