Working closely with the University Career Engagement leadership team, the successful candidate will provide strategic and proactive employer engagement to develop long-term employer relationships and increase employment opportunities and professional connections for all UT Austin students and alumni.
Create and implement employer engagement strategies to cultivate new multi-faceted relationships with employers that align with student career interests and future employment trends, and whose opportunities meet our University standards for quality and impact. Connect employers with university contacts to develop campus-wide recruiting, relationship and partnership opportunities. Participate in local, regional and national employment-related associations, including the Austin Chamber of Commerce.
Provide campus-wide leadership in the employer engagement space. Lead discussions on the job market, labor economy, employment trends, advances in recruiting technologies, and new and future hiring methods, processes and trends.
Oversee campus-wide job board and on-campus interview program – including process, facility management and employer hosting. Oversee and develop employer programming and employer-related student programming.
Develop protocols to conduct, track and report successful account management and compile data regarding outreach efforts and overall impact on employment outcomes. Communicate this information to internal and external stakeholders periodically.
Supervise, support and mentor staff. Maintain compliance with all related federal, state, institutional, UT System, and NACE regulations, guidelines, and best practices, and ensure staff do likewise.
Represent University Career Engagement at high-profile events, committee meetings and work-groups. Attend conferences and professional development meetings pertinent to creating recruiting connections.
Required qualifications Master's Degree with at least eight years of demonstrated experience in relationship development and/or marketing with proven results. Proven experience developing and maintaining productive relationships with a variety of constituents that resulted in employment opportunities and/or business opportunities. Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective rapport with a diverse group of employers. Experience creating and managing or leading programs. Project management and large- and small-scale event planning skills with proven attention to detail. Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of labor market. Knowledge and understanding of web-based systems, applications. Proficiency with customer relationship management (CRM) or other databases. Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability. Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills and professional demeanor. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications The ideal candidate will exceed the required qualifications and have significant experience at a leadership level preferred. Experience in university career services and/or experience in corporate university relations. Experience with current and future recruiting methods and technology. Knowledge of corporate recruiting policies.
Additional Salary Information: $112,000 + depending on qualifications
