The Assistant Director of Business Analytics oversees teams of business analysts providing ERP product support services in the areas of Finance, Human Resources, Campus Solutions, and Reporting Development using the Data Warehouse.
Provide team leadership, knowledge as is necessary to meet objectives. Develop, monitor, revise implementation project plans and associated change management procedures using technology and process improvement in support of meeting the objectives of the University. Ensure effective communication between managed teams and associated University constituents in the areas of business process, technology support, and knowledge as supported by OIT and Business Affairs. Work with Executive Management to determine departmental budgetary goals and ensure budgetary compliance. Facilitate Change Management Meetings with user communities as necessary to facilitate IT-driven change management. Performs other duties assigned.
Bachelor's degree with coursework in computing or information systems and ten (10) years of progressively responsible Enterprise application support and analysis experience; or the equivalent experience. Six (6+) years managing multi-disciplinary teams supporting Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) class applications and equivalent reporting systems. Five (5+) years in depth implementation experience with PeopleSoft Financials and/or Campus Solutions, and/or Human Resources. Five (5+) years' experience in building reporting solutions for PeopleSoft Applications. Strong understanding and experience in developing and managing budgets for departmental operations and projects. Strong understanding and application of project management and performance management disciplines. Strong Understanding of Customer Support and Training disciplines. Experience in organizing and delivering projects utilizing all phases of the application development life-cycle, specifically related to ERP application support and development. Experience managing applications & teams in a 3rd party hosted environment. Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel). Excellent organization, teamwork, problem-solving, presentation, customer service and communication (verbal and written) skills. Ability to work well with all organizational levels.
5+ years in depth implementation experience with PeopleSoft Financials and/or Campus Solutions, and/or Human Resources
5+ years' experience in building reporting solutions for PeopleSoft Applications
Training or certification in either Project Management Institute's PMI Certification or ITIL methodologies
5+ years' experience working with Financially focused organizations for implementation/and or reporting projects
In depth experience with SQL and relational database reporting
Hands on Experience utilizing Data Warehousing Technologies for producing reports
Ability to manage multiple teams composed of 1-10 people
Ability to give formal presentations in front of large audiences
Functional Knowledge of PeopleSoft Applications versions 9.0 and higher for Finance, Campus Solutions, and/or HCM Payroll
In depth knowledge of project management best practices and standards such as PMI
Knowledge of Data Warehousing Design Concepts
Background working in or with a combination of Finance, Human Resources, or Student Information Systems technology business areas
In Depth Knowledge of service-oriented best practice methodologies such as ITIL
