Develop the PCB team to support New Production Introduction and Continuation Engineering product development for Rockwell Automation. Provide and understand industry trends to align products to the market. Provide strategic growth and impact for PCB development in Rockwell Automation. Drive the PCB Team to become the "Center of Excellence" for PCB Development in Rockwell Automation. Expand the team's capability & capacity to handle Proof of Concept PCBA designs as well as niche hardware development.
Responsibility for meeting NPI/CE project schedules through cost effective resource loading (staffing). Develops standard approach and methodology to PCB design, POC & niche hardware development. Guides team to manage against latest compliance standards. Develops requirements with Business Units for Next Generation products. Develops, manages, and grows team talent and capabilities. Fosters innovation into PCB differentiation.
Lead and develop the global PCB team to support NPI and Continuation for Rockwell Automation.
Provide and understand industry trends that will continually improve the teams' capabilities.
Continue to drive the PCB Design Team to grow as the "Center of Excellence" for RA.
Grow the Proof of Concept PCBA engineering service beyond North America to assist in proving out designs early.
Provide leadership in niche hardware engineering areas as required including new areas, "Voice of the Customer", etc.
Performs scheduling, project planning & effective utilization of global PCB resources, including the management of global partners.
Assures adherence to PCB design standards.
Creates and maintains strong collaboration and partnership with BU Product Engineers and Product Development personnel.
Coordinates activities and schedules of PCB Designers with Project Managers. Assigns personnel to projects to maintain time-to-market.
Acts as a liaison for Engineering Services to BU's and partners.
Assures projects meet or exceed customer requested timelines.
Accelerates projects, removes barriers, and enables effective execution.
Selects, maintains and evaluates qualified personnel in all positions.
Identifies training needs, develops team, and recommends effective personnel action.
Teams with Technical Project Manager and Technical Lead to standardize PCB processes and technology. In addition, teams with these individuals to develop technology roadmaps and ensure the continued advancement of disciplines across the enterprise.
Conducts tasks in accordance with applicable health, safety, quality, and environmental regulations (state/federal laws, ISO9001, ISO14000, etc.) as well as Rockwell Automation policies and procedures
