Intern, Marketplace Tech:
Marketplace Tech's intern would work on Marketplace Tech with Molly Wood, a show with a growing broadcast and podcast audience. The show's mission is to demystify the digital economy and focuses on a range of topics from the digital divide, to venture capital, to the role of social media companies in our lives. Marketplace Tech is a strategic growth area for the company, with over 30% growth in audience in the last year, and an aggressive growth plan for the next 6 months.
Key Learning Goals:
Learn how audio production and editing works.
Learn fundamentals of business and tech journalism.
Learn and perform a variety of production, research, administrative, and editorial tasks, including cutting tape, and writing digital copy.
Write show promos, daily station updates, digital copy, and other materials.
Contribute ideas for episodes, with a collaborative editorial team.
Conduct pre-interviews for guests.
Other duties as assigned.
Partial subsidy for onsite parking or public transportation.

Participate in robust on-boarding experience.
Professional development: on-the-job training, intercultural development assessment, formal performance review feedback sessions, etc.

Enrolled Senior in an undergraduate or Master's program OR have earned a degree within the last 12 months.
A demonstrated interest in journalism.
Must have the ability to meet deadlines and work independently.
Must have strong organizational and communication skills.
Self-starter with an appetite for learning audio skills.
Coursework or experience in journalism.
Experience with audio editing.
