Intern, Digital - Marketplace:
At Marketplace, we're helping to reinvent how audio and digital reporting is consumed in an always-on, mobile world. And our digital newsroom is offering an excellent, six-month internship opportunity for those who have an active interest in journalism and digital media.
Learn and perform a variety of digital production, research, and editorial tasks, copy writing and photo editing.
Publish audio for Marketplace's broadcasts and podcasts.
Contribute ideas for stories and other editorial material.
Write original stories for Marketplace.org.
Source photos for digital stories.
Basic data visualization.
Other duties as assigned.
Partial subsidy for onsite parking or public transportation.

Participate in robust on-boarding experience.
Professional development: on-the-job training, intercultural development assessment, formal performance review feedback sessions, etc.

Graduating senior in an undergraduate or enrolled in a Master's program or have earned a degree within the last 12 months.
A demonstrated interest in journalism (i.e. produced work for publication, worked at school newspaper/radio, etc.).
Must have the ability to write clean copy, meet deadlines, and work independently.
Must have strong organizational and communication skills.
Understanding of CMS systems.
Knowledge of open source photography/video platforms and Creative Commons policies.
Proficient in Microsoft Office products with the ability to learn new software programs.
Self-starter with an appetite for learning radio.
An appreciation for the Marketplace programs and/or public radio.
