Sigma Resources is adding a talented Microservices Lead to its team – it’s an ideal position for someone who values growth and advancement and wants to lead a driven team and influence transformation projects in a substantial way. This is the role for someone who has the experience and knowledge and wants to apply it to enterprise level projects for a leading $1+ BIL in revenue technology consulting company with a presence in 26 countries and over 35 projects on this site alone with another 10 in the works.
You won’t be bored, you will have impact, and you’ll work on projects utilizing trending technologies related to Open Banking, Consumer Banking, Retail Banking, Investment Banking, with many moving to microservices architectures and AWS cloud technologies.
This position will be located in the heart of downtown Pittsburgh on a bus line in close walking distance to market square – tons of amazing lunch options are right out the door.
What You Will Do
Drive current state technical assessment, design and implementation of microservices projects for our clients
Help execute large digital transformation programs with a focus on cloud-native and microservice solutions and be a trusted advisor to our clients.
Prior experience in developing and deploying microservice solutions will be heavily leveraged to make this vison a reality.
What Background You Should Have
8+ years of development experience
Strong understanding of microservice architecture
Hands on experience in developing and deploying microservices
Experience working on legacy Java EE / JMS based systems
Experience in performing technical assessment of current state of legacy systems
Knowledge on transforming a legacy monolithic application to a microservice based application
Expertise in design and development of Spring Boot and Spring Cloud applications
Expertise in design and development of RESTful APIs using JAXRS and JSON
Strong understanding of SOA, EAI and EIP
Strong understanding of DevOps, CI/CD (Jenkins), VCS (Git) and build (Gradle) systems
