ITS has a rewarding opportunity for a high-performing ITS Community Programs Outreach Coordinator to champion the ITS Internship Program and our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) programs. This role reports to the Executive Director of Administration within ITS.
The coordinator will collaborate with the ITS Internship Planning committee to support the intern cohorts which has up to 50 interns each summer. The coordinator will also work with the DEI committee to develop and implement a diversity, equity and inclusion program that aligns with the organizational strategy. This position will support all aspects of our DEI program including but not limited to educational program building, marketing, updates to the community and ongoing review of the program. ITS Internship Program
Provide leadership in the continued growth of the ITS Internship Program to ensure students receive an unparalleled experiential learning opportunity and build a talent pipeline for future hiring opportunities
Develop and execute initiatives to attract exceptional internship candidates through the use of social media, digital campaigns, and recruiting events
Plan and execute the internship application, interview, and hiring processes
Assist with intern onboarding, orientation, offboarding, and retention processes
Design a learner-centered curriculum that supports the exploration and development of the professional and technical skills required to prepare interns for a successful career
Provide day-to-day support to the internship program, including communicating important information to interns and supervisors, responding to inquiries, and planning special events
Develop a program to remain engaged with intern alumni, and develop a network for recruitment
Track and analyze survey data to drive continuous improvements regarding the internship experience
Provide leadership in developing educational program goals, objectives, and receive guidance from the DEI core teams
Coordinate the development of promotional materials, educational materials, newsletters, brochures, as appropriate to the programs
Independently strategize, plan, and guide the annual outcomes and events related to the programs
Provide day-to-day support to the DEI program, including communicating important information to ITS Staff, planning events, and assisting with the development of DEI supporting materials
Regular attendance in core team meetings, campus-wide lead team meetings, and steering committee meetings. In addition to attendance, supporting the planning and outcomes of meetings through investigation and follow-up, note-taking, and creation of high-level documentation for milestones and deliverables
Providing monthly status updates to stakeholders, members, and impacted parties
Communicate news and events to the broader ITS community
Track and analyze survey data to drive continuous improvements for the DEI program
Bachelor's degree in education, communication, public relations, counseling or equivalent combination of education, certification, and experience
Minimum of two (2) years of program coordination including all administrative tasks, providing recommendations to steering committees or leaders, and event planning
Demonstrated ability in developing learning objectives and outcomes in relation to curriculum design, development, and implementation
Demonstrated experience working with Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion programs
Knowledge of communication principles, media, and marketing techniques
