Client’s IT Program and Project Management department’s mission is to deliver Client’s Digital Capability Portfolio. The IT PPM Center of Excellence (CoE) is a key partner in this mission, leading PM process and tool simplification, improving the maturity and consistency of project management standards, and enabling actionable insights through analytics and dashboard visualizations.
The CoE is seeking a Sr. PPM / PMO Analyst to support the maturity of the Project Execution process - including the tools and means of how projects are monitored and measured, financials tracked, analytics of projects and the portfolio through Dashboards, project correction approaches, and how the project execution process connects with and enables the broader IT ecosystem. This role will support the roll out of a new PPM platform, based on ServiceNow PPM. This role will also contribute to CoE improvement opportunities, such as standardized onboarding processes, PM education and training, and entrepreneurial development of talent. These efforts maximize our impact on the 100+ PMs driving our execution.
Assess and advise on current Project Portfolio Management (PPM) capabilities, Project Execution processes, and & CoE Practices & Procedures.
Perform analysis due diligence to discover root cause of challenges across both the CoE & across projects.
Provide Subject Matter Expertise and work with End Users to understand and generate cohesive documentation of PMO processes, identify process & governance challenges, and gather & analyze current practices and standards.
Promote advanced concepts and integration of improved habits.
Define business rules and robust data models for consistent aligned measurements of project health and progress.
Contribute to refinement of our “As Is” Process & Procedure Models & development of “To Be” Process Models.
Identify instances where existing processes may be streamlined or improved.
Work with stakeholders to identify qualitative improvements and calculate quantitative benefits of implementing changes.
Lead management, adoption, and design of Dashboards.
Proactively assess and engage troubled projects; guiding and leading teams back on track.
Consult CoE to prepare and develop resilience for large scale organizational changes.
Lead communication and change management strategy in support of rolling out changes.
At least 10 years of prior experience working in an analyst capacity on large and/or complex business processes; ideally in the Pharmaceutical Industry.
Experience with IT PMOs; establishing a PMO a strong plus.
Experience with IT Organizational Governance.
Proven ability in gathering, tracing, translating and managing complex requirements, business rules, and data.
Knowledge of PPM framework and experience operating within or implementation of one or more phases of the PPM Framework.
Excellent oral and written communication skills including technical writing / documentation; organizes and presents ideas in a convincing and compelling manner.
Exceptional interpersonal skills; able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams; able to provide technical leadership.
Outgoing personality; self-starter able to work interactively and independently with stakeholders.
Possess strong business acumen; possess a broad, enterprise-wide view and understanding of strategy, processes and capabilities, enabling technologies, and governance.
Bachelors or Master’s Degree in computer science, engineering, physical sciences, or life sciences.
Experience with process modeling tools (ARIS, Visio, etc.) to identify, capture, define, and analyze business processes.
Strong proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
Strong proficiency in Data Visualization tools (Spotfire, Tableau, etc.).
Experience with leading PPM platforms (e.g. ServiceNow) and experience with IT financial planning.
