The Director of Enterprise Applications provides leadership for centralized, enterprise-level technology service for Enterprise Applications, a department within the division of information Technology. Leading a team of analysts and server administrators this position is responsible for the day to day management of all technical aspects of the PeopleSoft ERP (HR, Finance, and Student), Hyland Perceptive Content, other enterprise applications and associated integrations. Responsibilities include administration, security, and development related to the ERP including the system itself, integrations, and reporting. Managing the Enterprise Applications budget which includes staff, ERP and related application licensing, professional development, and contracted services. As part of the IT Leadership Team, the Director must effectively communicate and collaborate with leadership, faculty, and staff across the College to support strong partnerships between IT and the campus community. Representing Enterprise Applications, and the Division of Information Technology, on College committees and working groups, and ensuring that Enterprise Applications is positioned to meet the current and future needs of GRCC.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Oversee and monitor the implementation and support of enterprise application systems.
Direct project teams to meet established objectives, delivery dates, and budgets.
Oversee capacity planning efforts and report availability measures for enterprise application systems.
Collaborate with CIO, other executives, and administration to manage project priorities.
Conduct performance appraisals and other administrative management functions for direct reports.
Oversee the design and implementation of enterprise wide application development standards and effectively manage adoption across the organization.
Collaborate on the integration of application architecture through close teamwork with application developers, system administrators, project managers, and functional owners.
Work with the other IT Division departments and College leadership in business continuity planning, testing, and recovery to ensure the resiliency of GRCC’s application portfolio.
Manage resources for major initiatives by forecasting and prioritizing resource demands.
Manage, coach, and mentor direct reports and others in the organization.
Ensure team members' technical skills are kept current and relevant by identifying and supporting appropriate training and other professional development opportunities.
Oversee key performance indicators metrics to meet management targets.
Report performance to senior leadership on a frequent basis.
Understand and proactively manage the funding/budget for area of responsibility.
Negotiate and manage contracts for all consultants and contractors working within area of responsibility.
Develop and maintain departmental IT procedures and contribute to IT Division and GRCC policies.
Create, support and drive change leadership and transformational initiatives.
Lead and promote efforts for innovation, creative problem solving, and continuous process improvement.
Oversee development and delivery of training for functional users of enterprise application systems.
Contribute to and provide leadership in the creation and review of the Division of Information Technology service catalog, goals, priorities, and strategic plan.
Participate in the development and maintenance of the disaster recovery plan for the College’s computing and telecommunications infrastructure.
Other duties as assigned by the Chief Information Officer.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
Master’s degree highly preferred.
Thorough knowledge of centralized/decentralized applications, implementation and support methodologies, and development tools and techniques for customization of systems.
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
Detail and results oriented.
Ability to relate to diverse community college student and staff populations.
High level of energy, enthusiasm, and the ability to be innovative and creative.
Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to lead a team.
Understanding of FERPA, HIPAA, and related privacy and security standards.
Sitting or standing for long periods.
Long periods at a computer discerning detail from less than a few feet away.

Maintain emotional control under stress related to short deadlines and multiple projects.
Must be exacting in work and pay close attention to detail.

Frequent interruptions, hectic pace, quick deadlines, and after hours and weekend work when required.
Occasional requirement to be available on an emergency basis for exercises or actual emergencies.
Requirements to visit other offices and remote sites and otherwise work outside the office environment.
Long periods of intense concentration reviewing data and information.
Work is in close proximity to other people in a shared office space.
Some travel for training will be required.
