The Investor Relations team is responsible for developing and effectively communicating the company's narrative including financial results and short-term and long-term strategies. Investor Relations manages relationships with sell-side analysts and institutional investors through quarterly earnings cycles and various activities including non-deal roadshows, bus tours, and financial conferences.
The Investor Relations Director will partner with the Head of Investor Relations to deliver a full slate of IR programs, including but not limited to investor targeting, outreach and contact management; development of scripts, FAQs and presentations related to quarterly financial performance; development of investor profiles and briefing information; summary and analysis of sell-side analyst notes and models; planning and management of investor-focused events; development and implementation of an ESG-focused IR program; reporting on IR metrics and activities to management; engagement with senior executives on investor activities; management of relationships with Credit Rating Agencies; Proxy outreach and other activities and programs.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Communications, Economics or related field.
10+ years of experience with a public company in Investor Relations, Finance, Communications or related field, ideally in banking or related industry.
Experience working with and advising C-level executives
Experience with financial modeling
Prior use of IR and communication tools and platforms, including Ipreo/BD Corporate, Nasdaq IR Insights, FactSet, SNL, AlphaSense, PR Newswire
Knowledge of financial reporting and financial models
Strong verbal and written communications skills, knowledge of grammar, editing and proofing skills
Strong research, analytical and reporting skills
Project management and organizational skills
Microsoft Office proficiency: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Ability to multi-task, balance multiple priorities and shift gears quickly; sense of urgency
The ideal candidate will be independent, resourceful, motivated and detail oriented.
S/he should be comfortable proactively reaching out to and interacting with investors and sell-side analysts they may not know personally.
Excellent relationship skills are essential, including the ability to comfortably interact with and advise senior executives, work effectively across multiple teams and departments to source and confirm information, solve problems and meet deadlines.
