The School of Hotel Administration (SHA) at Cornell University provides the most relevant, groundbreaking hospitality business education in the world.
In the role of temporary SHA administrative support, you will report directly to the Associate Dean of Alumni Affairs and Development for the SHA. You will have key duties for SHA engagement and corporate events.
SHA / Corporate Engagement
meets weekly with External Relations and Associate Dean of Alumni Affairs and Development.
works directly with any planning committee
partners with another team member on marketing for the conference
sends invoices to sponsors and follows up on payments
facilitates on-campus digital communications
updates websites with sponsorship information (adding logos, etc.)
develops pitch messages to sponsors
develops sponsorship packages
provides materials for faculty immersion including program and stewardship pieces
works with MARCOM to develop sponsor digital loop shown at events
performs audits for each event
communicates with gift processing group
works as a liaison to central event management team for ICON
responsible for name badges with team
prepares and submit I-want documents to pay vendors
prepares items that needs to be transported to event

IHIF / Berlin - March 2020
Icon / NYC - June 2020 (will need to attend)
Faculty Immersions as needed - typically January
This is a temporary position with benefits scheduled until 06/30/2020.
Associate's Degree and Relevant Work Experience of 4 years to 6 years or equivalent combination of education and experience.
organized, self-motivated and ability to divide work between CREC and SHA
demonstrated ability to communicate in a professional manner
ability to understand financial auditing and reconciling
Adobe skills are especially helpful
