As Sr Analyst, Data Governance you will support the operations and programs of enterprise data governance. You will conduct data analyses and mining activities and at times act as a liaison to Information Technology teams. You will also support the ongoing data-initiatives through data quality, analytics and dashboard work.

Present reporting analysis and interpretation for operational and business review and planning
Support short and long term operational / strategic business activities through analysis
Consult and document business requirements to support client reporting needs
Develop and recommended business solutions through research and analysis of data
Use your creativity and process improvement skills to expand and improve existing processes and create new ones in accordance with data governance best practices
Conduct in depth data analysis for projects as well as ongoing data quality initiatives
Create datasets from a variety of disparate sources to further data governance initiatives and processes
Perform data mining on large datasets to supplement data governance quality improvement initiatives
Reporting includes running of ongoing reports as well as assistance with ad hoc reporting
Conducts some high level project management-type functions for ongoing initiatives
Coordinates executive and leadership governance committee meetings
Bachelors Degree in Information science, Computer science, or related field, masters preferred
2-4 years Business analysis, data analysis, or reporting analysis work experience
Medical center experience required, academic health care strongly preferred
In lieu of a degree, four years of job-related work experience can be accepted.
Experience in analysis using SQL, R or other statistical languages.
Familiarity with common medical terminologies (e.g. ICD, SNOMED, CPT, LOINC)
Familiarity with national clinical quality initiatives and performance improvement measures
Strong communication skills
