In a Shared Services environment, this working Manager is accountable to manage a team and all aspects of strategic sourcing for all regulated and applicable non-regulated contracts including RFX, pricing analysis, contract agreements, sourcing manuals and policies and procedures. Responsible for the successful development, implementation, and maintenance of annual Category Plan (CP) and Process Improvement Plan (PIP) and strategy along with stakeholder and supplier relations. Responsible to derive best value based on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for contract spending and acts as a point of accountability for the success of the sourcing activities.
Tasks and Responsibilities • Manages the work of the Enterprise Strategic Sourcing team including hiring, evaluating, training, performance management, compensating, motivating, coaching, and developing goals and procedures to ensure the achievement of goals and customer satisfaction • Monitors category trends, conducts market research and leads the development, implementation and monitoring the annual Category Plan and Process Improvement Plan (PIP) for all regulated and applicable non-regulated areas • Sets high-level strategies and reduces the organization's overall Supply Chain risks and costs without compromising quality or reliability • Manages the development of the organization's overall Strategic Sourcing strategy and establishes/maintains plans, policies, procedures, and systems that will achieve these strategic objectives • Leads the Enterprise Strategic Sourcing team in the negotiation of the Company’ contracts and creates, develops, implements and maintains strategies for directing spend to better performing suppliers, and driving continuous improvement • Applies project management methodology and practices to manage a structured sourcing experience that meets or exceeds internal/external customer’s expectations and utilizes consistent approach (forms, templates, tools, etc.) • Manages all aspects of the contract management documentation process • Oversees the execution of sourcing events and accountable for the outcomes of the sourcing engagement and management of the sourcing functions within various projects and lines of business within the Company • Responsible to manage the Enterprise Strategic Sourcing’s compliance tracking, analysis, and reporting • Manages the process to identify, evaluate, and capitalize on opportunities to reduce sourcing and purchasing costs by improving the organization's sourcing patterns • Leads the Enterprise Strategic Sourcing organization’s benchmarking effort to identify new suppliers, best practices, category trends, process improvements, lean processes and efficiency analysis
Qualifications, Skills and Abilities • Bachelor's Degree Business, Engineering, Project Management, Supply Chain Management or related field required • 7+ Years in contracts administration/management, procurement, strategic sourcing or a related field is required • Strategic sourcing, data analysis, and spend analytics experience required • Project management experience preferred • 2+ Years Direct supervisory experience required • Certified Purchasing Manager (CPSP) preferred • PMP Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred • Six Sigma training and/or certification preferred • Proven ability to use intermediate to advanced computer software and applications, including Microsoft Office applications, to share, retrieve, research and present business information • Demonstrated ability to establish rapport and effective working relationships with business partners, supervisors, subordinates and peers
