As our director of strategic change management, you will focus on the people side of change – including changes to business processes, systems and technology, job roles and organization structures. Your primary responsibility will be creating and implementing change management strategies and plans that maximize employee adoption and usage and minimize resistance. You will work to drive faster adoption, higher utilization and greater proficiency of the changes that impact employees in the organization to increase benefit realization, value creation, ROI and the achievement of results and outcomes.
In This Role, You Will…
Ensure an organizational change management methodology is defined, developed and understood by employees.
Apply change management processes and tools to create and implement strategies in support of change adoption within a project or initiative. Integrate change management activities into project plans to promote and advance user readiness.
Lead and/or support change management activities within the implementation plans of new policies, processes and systems, including communication and training efforts.
Design, develop and implement strategies to communicate change. Partner with Communications and other teams to validate and execute strategies.
Regularly evaluate risks to organizational acceptance: develop solutions to address risk and assist in the creation of solutions intended to drive alignment, ensure process understanding and move employees toward success.
Act as a coach for senior leaders in helping them fulfill the role of change sponsor.
Influence, educate and partner with key stakeholders.
Your initial focus will be in the planning and rollout of our new Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) system.
To Be Successful, You Will Need…
Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree and/or change management certification preferred. Minimum of four years professional experience with one or more of the following:
1-2 years of project management, change management, or system implementation experience.
Change management expertise.
Experience developing communication and training strategies for change initiatives.
Professional experience in higher education.
End user support/services experience with the ability to describe technical concepts from a business perspective.
Ability to effectively communicate goals and priorities to team members and to communicate in non-technical terms with end-users.
Deadline-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage projects from start to finish.
Exceptional organization and planning skills.
Excellent active listening skills and the ability to empathetically understand someone else’s point of view.
Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to apply technical/functional expertise to manage and improve processes.
Action-oriented with the proven ability to influence others to reach common goals.
Creative problem solver with successful experience with conflict resolution and mediation.
Strong writing and effective presentation skills, including leading trainings and facilitation.
Successful experience championing change and innovation, fostering collaboration and inspiring trust.
