The Administrative Assistant, reporting to the Assistant VP of Annual Giving, works collaboratively with The Northeastern Fund (TNF) team to support fundraising programs and initiatives focused on growing the TNF's dollar and alumni participation totals by providing a high level of administrative and organizational support to the Assistant VP and the Annual Giving team. The position requires a personable, energetic individual who is eager to contribute through excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, project management, and collaborative interaction with other members in Advancement, academic departments, and vendors. The Administrative Assistant is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing administrative operations for The Northeastern Fund, and providing support for AVP and TNF staff members including scheduling and calendar management, file maintenance, data entry and the transfer of data to Advancement partners, expense reports and budget reconciliation, assistance with event preparation and execution, and other duties as needed. This position will also assist in the planning, coordination and implementation of program activities within the department. This position will include some interaction with student employees as needed.
Associates degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred. 2-3 years of experience, preferably in higher education development required. Excellent organizational, communications (written and oral), interpersonal, and computer skills (specifically with Microsoft Excel); Detail oriented; Ability to be a self-starter; Strong customer service focus; Ability to interact professionally and diplomatically with alumni, volunteers, students, parents, friends, staff, faculty, vendors and external entities; Ability to work independently and in a team environment on several projects at a time.
