University Health Services is a fully accredited, comprehensive campus health center dedicated to providing the highest level of health care and customer satisfaction. University Health Services seeks a Casual Radiological Technologist to provide digital radiography for the University’s campus community for weekdays and possible back-up coverage for Saturday’s (morning/afternoon). The schedule varies throughout the year.
Duties include diagnostic radiography, managing the PAC’s system, pushing images to our local radiology consultant group for interpretation and releasing medical records.
Operates radiographic equipment to produce quality radiographs using standards approved by the American College of Radiology (ACR)
Follows University Health Services standard operating procedures
Follows all protocol and radiation safety as dictated by the Department Environmental Protection Agency
Competencies with regards to operating the Digital Radiologic equipment, Patient Archive communication System and VPN switch
Burns CDs for medical records
Sends studies to the local radiologist and/or hospital for interpretation via VPN
Computer proficiencies to perform administrative functions associated with patient care; such as maintaining and updating the patient’s radiologic health record and attaching the radiologic report to the patient’s medical record
Performing Electrocardiogram and Pulmonary Function Testing experience is preferred, but willing to train the right candidate for this opportunity

Maintains current license to practice as a Radiologic Technologist from the State of New Jersey, DEP Radiological Health
Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
High School Diploma or equivalent
Graduate of an accredited school with a Radiology Technology program
Recent 3-5 year digital radiograph experience
BLS Provider CPR/AED certification by the American Heart Association
Ability to work independently and retain protocol for the department and organization
Ability to physically move and/or ambulate patients
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Excellent communication skills; Oral,written and listening
Proficient use of computers, digital systems, scanning and electronic health records
Dependability and attendance is critical.
Electrocardiogram and Pulmonary Function Test Experience is preferred but willing to train the right candidate.
