Your role at Sephora: As a Senior Director of Finance, you will be responsible for supporting our US retail (B&M) business as well as our Ecommerce. This position will lead and provide business planning support, forecasting, and ad hoc analysis. Build significant leadership skills and financial acumen to help drive growth strategies, financial reporting and analysis insight. Reporting to the VP of Finance, you will assist and engage business partners in strategic financial initiatives where necessary, including ROI analysis and cost savings. This position is responsible for managing and coaching 2 managers.
In addition, you will:
Oversee monthly reporting and financial close by attending monthly close meetings, assisting with reconciling budget and forecast variances to actual results
Oversee all components of budget/forecast for all expense related to Ecommerce and Brick and Mortar P&L. Actively pursuing new/innovative ways of improving business process and value added analysis. Monitor and review spending, identify trends/issues and lead resolution of problems
Manage business partner relationships to understand each business area and provide financial thought partnership.
Act as the primary liaison between Omni operations, Ecommerce operations and retail operations teams and finance executives to build full year budgets, advise on phasing, as well as provide financial analysis support in strategic projects.
Manage both our Ecommerce and Brick and Mortar P&L and create P&L for new initiatives
Ability to develop and implement procedural improvements in operations and reporting
Acquire and maintain a thorough understanding of the strategies, business issues, risks/opportunities for all areas of responsibility.
Responsible for managing team, developing direct reports, and maintaining team culture

We’re excited about you if you have:
At least 8+ years of experience in a financial role. Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Business highly preferred as well as familiarity with accounting principles and financial statements
Experience in Retail or Ecommerce industry preferable
Advanced expertise with Excel applications (interactive excel, macros) and experience with SAP and SAP Business Objects preferred
Dynamic, independent, creative and highly motivated person who works well as a team member with non-financial personnel and executive level personnel
Must demonstrate strong strategic, analytical, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
Experience leading and developing teams required
