Job description: As a senior lead within the Organisational Management & Governance team, you will play a significant role in our global organisation. Your deep knowledge and experience will help the team raise their game, meeting your standards as well as satisfying both business and functional requirements. Your expertise will be counted on to set strategic direction and solve complex and critical challenges internally and externally. This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including the ability to:
Actively demonstrate accountability, responsibility & ownership for managing own actions & workload
Build relationships across functions and geographies to expand influence and knowledge
C ommunicate with all levels of Business, Operational and Technology partners
Assist less experienced team members to develop capabilities and confidence
Ensure awareness of and compliance with relevant policies, controls, regulations and escalation protocols
Build practical knowledge of digital ops tools and techniques used within the Firm; engage in planning, testing and implementing projects
Manage reporting program for Management and Stakeholders, including multiple governance committees
Produce information packs for senior managers and Board members, including EOC reporting, quarterly Board paper updates and regulatory reporting.
Co-ordinate logistics around setting up meetings, creation of agenda's, documentation and communication of minutes / follow up actions
Build and maintain strong relationships with Business', Compliance, Audit functions and other key partners
Proactively identify and propose areas for improving process quality, control, and productivity
Strong communication skills - both verbal and written. The role requires a confident and assertive communicator with the ability to push back when necessary.
Initiative - taking the lead in unstructured situations, including seizing new opportunities
Strong control mindset & attention to detail
Advanced Excel and PowerPoint experience are essential
Strong writing skills, with control focus and attention to detail
Flexible attitude in dealing with multiple tasks
Quality - Drive ongoing enhancement of governance framework, including continued development of consistent best practice and governance protocols
Client/ Customer Focus - Support to key stakeholders / partners - work in partnership with Lines of Business to continue to enhance / develop collaborative approach within oversight model
Experience in an investment banking regulatory, compliance or operational team is desirable
Able to demonstrate working in a control focused environment
Demonstrated leadership and ability over process and control, both over established and required enhancements
Attested track record of working to deadlines, with accountability and responsibility for independent workload
