Responsible for planning, scheduling and directing the daily activities of lower level housekeeping staff; develops effective working partnerships with stakeholders; delivers service commensurate with service level agreements; promotes employee development and motivation through feedback and coaching; assists in mediating disputes; manages risk through enforcement of policies and adherence to procedures; identifies opportunities for process and/ or service improvement; responsible for the accuracy of timekeeping, inventory, and other administrative records; may assist in managing vendor contracts; Monday through Friday, 2:45 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., but is subject to changes in shift, hours, days, and/or location as operations dictate; may work overtime; In accordance with the Disaster Preparedness and University State of Emergency Policy 6.17 this position has been designated as a standby position.

7th grade education or higher; three courses in management/supervision (or three months of experience); 300 hours of training in use of cleaning equipment (or three months of experience); three courses in inventory control (or three months of experience); one course in public relations (or one month of experience); or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license; knowledge and understanding of all aspects of custodial cleaning business; attendance at a basic supervision courses a plus; correspondence and writing, computer literacy, computer operations, supervision, safety procedures knowledge, planning and scheduling and project management experience desired.
Target Salary: $12.48 - $19.87 Hourly
