UNIVERSITY OF TENNESSEE, KNOXVILLE POST-DOCTORAL RESEARCH ASSOCIATE POSITION IN EXPERIMENTAL LOW-ENERGY NUCLEAR PHYSICS
The Experimental Nuclear Structure Group at the University of Tennessee is seeking candidates for a post-doctoral position in the experimental low-energy nuclear physics program. The successful candidate will be involved in the research on beta-delayed neutron emission using VANDLE neutron detector array. The candidate will also be included in the construction and operation of new generation neutron detector with tracking capabilities. The experimental program will be carried out in US national laboratories and laboratories abroad.
The UTK group has a demonstrated excellent track record in experimental nuclear structure studies of nuclei far from stability and an active program in digital data acquisition systems. The candidate should have demonstrable experience with experiments at accelerator facilities, as well as excellent skills in programming and data analysis. The position is available immediately.
