The University of Maryland, Baltimore School of Medicine is seeking a Clinical Research Nurse for the Division of Clinical Research in the Department of Radiation Oncology. The Clinical Research Nurse independently manages operations of multiple research studies and clinical trial protocols requiring the expertise and care of a Registered Nurse. The selected individual will instruct and counsel patients in research procedures, administer treatment procedures, and monitor patients for protocol compliance and safety.

Manages patient care in compliance with the research study or clinical trial protocol requirements. Monitors subject condition while ensuring safety and maintaining confidentiality. Identifies patient problems and makes adjustments to care plans in partnership with study PI.
Monitors activities to ensure compliance with protocols and all relevant local, federal, and state regulatory and institutional policies.
Develops and prepares study or research related documentation such as protocol worksheets, procedural manuals, adverse event reports, case report forms, and institutional review board documents.
Administers and implements treatment procedures or drugs, monitors and studies their effects, and conducts subject medical evaluations.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education : Bachelors in Nursing.
Experience : Three (3) years of registered nurse experience with at least one (1) year in research specialization.
Licensure/Certification : Registered Nurse in the State of Maryland.
Other : May consider a combination of directly related experience and education.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of Clinical Research best practices.
Knowledge of Oncology clinical trials.
Attention to detail.
Project management abilities.
