The University of Pittsburgh is seeking a Dental Assistant to provide radiographic services for patients at the School of Dental Medicine.
This individual takes and processes intra- and extra-oral 2-dimensional radiographs and 3-dimensional CBCT radiographs. The incumbent also demonstrates and assists students with radiographic techniques, maintains radiology workflow in the school's electronic health record and digital radiography software, keeps appropriate records, and maintains and supplies clinic areas.
The incumbent must have had training in an approved dental assisting program and have passed the State Radiology Certification Examination for Dental Auxiliaries. At least one year of experience in the performance of radiologic procedures is preferred. State Radiology Certification for Dental Auxiliaries.
