The Program Administrator for Career and Professional Development is primarily responsible for developing and implementing programs and processes within Career and Professional Development that support student, new graduate, and alumni career planning, search, and transition needs. Programs may include mentoring, job shadows, mock interview preparation, and externship/residency/clerkship placements. In addition, the Program Administrator will be responsible for meeting one-on-one with and advising and counseling current students and alumni, maintaining relationships with alumni and employers, and expanding and tracking alumni and employer involvement and engagement in Career and Professional Development programs.
Qualifications: A four-year degree required with familiarity of the legal market; a J.D. with experience practicing law preferred; 3-5 years professional program management experience (may consider a combination of education and experience); professional contact, interaction and knowledge of legal employers and legal job market; significant familiarity, experience, connections and understanding of traditional and alternative occupations for legal professionals; superior interpersonal and communication skills; ability to develop and maintain effective and collaborative working relationships both internally and externally; ability to successfully develop, implement and lead programs; high level of energy and creativity; strong organizational, project management, and program management skills; knowledge of, and experience with website management and database programs (e.g. RaisersEdge, Symplicity, WordPress, etc.). Must have the ability to work evening and weekend hours as needed to meet programming, student, and alumni needs.
