The proposal manager is accountable for the effective and efficient planning, organizing, and coordinating of Request for Proposal (RFP) responses for our revenue cycle services organization. This includes analyzing RFPs to identify client needs and proposal requirements, managing kick-off meetings and proposal status calls, managing timelines, preparing and distributing drafts, and proposal production and delivery. In addition, the proposal manager develops and maintains standard sales proposal templates, manages the proposal content repository, and identifies new opportunities through public websites. The manager will also be assigned additional department tasks as appropriate.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides thought leadership to Coniferï¿½s proposal management process to ensure we are maintaining a best practice philosophy concerning the project management components of our process.
Provides corporate oversight for the overall proposal strategy ensuring that the proposal response is strategic, compelling, and follows Coniferï¿½s branding and messaging standards. Coordinates with Conifer corporate shared services teams, at all management levels, on specific components during the proposal management process.
As the primary Conifer owner, manages the proposal management database to include ensuring our data hierarchy is maintained and content is current and relevant. Works with subject matter experts and executive leadership throughout the company on routine content reviews, and manages all graphic content from design to accuracy.
Through expertise of content and in coordination with Subject Matter Experts, developments and maintains proposal templates on identified solutions to provide the sales executives with an efficient and effective proposal process.

Excellent communication skills with high level of proficiency in business and technical writing, editing, and proofreading
Extensive understanding of capture plans and proposal processes, primarily within the healthcare provider market
Ability to coordinate with various levels of management, project managers, technical personnel, etc.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and exercise judgment with wide latitude and discretion
Demonstrated ability to translate complicated ideas into language easily understood by others
ï¿½Strong project management skills to support the delivery of high-quality proposals in compliance with client-established deadlines
Advanced user of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required
Knowledge of Qvidianï¿½s proposal automation solutions required with working experience of administering the database.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Include minimum education, technical training, and/or experience preferred to perform the job.
5+ years working in proposal writing and project management capacity
Bachelorï¿½s Degree (or equivalent experience)
Experience with Qvidian Proposal Automation required
Certified proposal training a plus but not required
