Job Description Summary
Serving as a resource to engage Wharton donors with the School, the Senior Associate Director of Donor Relations will connect principal and major giving parents of MBA and undergraduate students with a range of programs, events, and resources at the Wharton School and across the University of Pennsylvania.
This person will create, systematize, and scale a series of custom touchpoints for parents to create an enriching experience with the School, serving as an additional resource from admission to graduation. The Senior Associate Director will partner with colleagues across the Wharton School to deliver a concierge experience to a defined community of parents and leverage the work of colleagues in Development in External Affairs to establish and strengthen the donor parent experience with the School.
Bachelor's Degree and 5 to 7 years of direct experience in donor relations, development and parent relations, stewardship and communications, or equivalent combination of education and experience
-Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills, and an ability to interact with donors and senior level executives and administrators.
-Strength in exercising discretion with respect to data privacy and good judgement in communications and planning for a high level donor network.
-Excellent project management and strategic planning skills, with an acute ability to manage multiple deadlines and track activities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
-Outstanding detail orientation, and proven ability in writing, editing and proofreading.
-Proven technical literacy and comfort analyzing and manipulating data.
-Demonstrated ability to work independently, as well as effectively as a member of a team.
-Ability to travel and work occasional evenings and weekends.
