Executive Associate Program: The business of banking has changed. Economic conditions, the regulatory environment, the competitive environment, consumer preferences and expectations, and the general perception of the financial services industry are vastly different than they were even 10 years ago. Despite the changing landscape, the vision of M&T remains as relevant as ever. We anticipate that the pace of change will accelerate and we have embarked on an ambitious transformation journey to adapt to this new environment in order to achieve future success. Through this initiative, we have established a set of principles and strategic objectives that guide how and where we will change. As we progress, we are looking to the Executive Associate (EA) Program as a source of valuable talent to help us change and adapt.
The EA program provides candidates with an exciting opportunity to join M&T on this transformational journey and become change agents. In order to excel in the new environment, we must evolve the way we work and add diverse perspectives and experiences to challenge our thinking and how we operate our businesses. For example, M&T will look towards change sparked by pioneering, creative and innovative usage of new and exciting technologies, driven by customer preference and a powerful digital presence. In addition, the enterprise will look to advance data driven decision making and efficient processing enabled through analytics, process re-engineering and robotics.
The EA program exemplifies the flexible career and leadership opportunities desired by MBAs. EAs have formal roles and real responsibility from day one and are expected to immediately contribute to M&T’s continued growth and success. This is not a rotational program, but rather a performance-based training ground for future senior-level managers. Throughout the first year, the incoming class will be introduced to EA program alumni, top executives, and can expect a professional network that spans all levels of the company. We seek to attract, develop, and retain the very best talent with an emphasis on bench strength in the most critical roles, and the aptitude to lead change throughout the enterprise.
Functions: Incoming Executive Associates will be in roles designed to advance the Bank forward through transformation initiatives including Execution, Design & Innovation, and Analytics & Data. Desired skills include the following:
Design & Innovation (Business Process Reengineering, Engineering, Design Thinking, UX Design, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Human Computer Interaction, Machine Learning)
Analytics & Data (Business Intelligence & Analytics, Data Science, Applied Statistics, Mathematics)
MBA degree candidates from top MBA programs, record of academic excellence
2 or more years of work experience , demonstrated leadership ability
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time, permanent basis without additional sponsorship
Employer will assist with relocation costs.
