What you will do As the Project Manager - Client Onboarding, you will be responsible for seamless transitions of new clients into the Northern Trust universe. This could involve working on a single large scale project, multiple smaller/less complex projects or contributing to a work stream and will be responsible for aligning resources, overseeing the budget, creating project plans and tracking key milestones/risks/dependencies.
This successful candidate will be the key coordinator to ensure activities are completed and as such we seek a strong project management skill set, not a SME specialization.
1. Carries out activities that are large in scope, cross-functional and technically difficult. 2. As subject area expert, provides comprehensive, in-depth consulting and leadership to team and partners at a high technical level 3. Operates independently and has in-depth knowledge of business unit, specific area of expertise and strong knowledge in other areas 4. Strategic in developing, implementing and administering programs within functional areas and can oversee SME's for the duration of the projects lifecycle 5. Work to deadlines across time sensitive projects whilst interacting with global partners in different time zones 6. Role is balanced between high level operational execution and development, and execution of strategic direction of business function activities 7. Conducts preliminary analysis 8. Responsible for direct interaction with different committees and/or management
Excellent oral and written communication skills are required
Demonstrated client interaction ability
Ability to navigate internal business structures and take things onboard quickly
Highly flexible and adaptable to change
A College or University degree or relevant proven work experience is preferred
Knowledge of various project methodologies such as Prince 2, Agile, Six Sigma, are a definite advantage
