The Personal Savings and Investing (PSI) group is mandated with the management, profitability, and successful operation of five unique businesses for TDCT: Term, Mutual Fund Retail Distribution, Wealth Referrals, Savings and E2E Investing which includes Registered Solutions. The PSI team is responsible for: channel management, product development, price, competitive intelligence, marketing initiatives, acquisition, retention, E2E Investing Journey and analysis to support the maintenance and growth of all five businesses.
As a market leader, TDCT continues to maintain & grow share in Retail & Wealth savings products. As a member of this team you will lead other PSI team members and our partners, internal and external, to deliver products that meet customer needs, provide support to frontline staff so that they are able to continue to deliver award winning customer service, and continue to build the capability of the PS&I team.
Reporting to the Vice President, E2E Savings and Investing Journey, the Product Owner - Conversion is responsible for achieving the successful conversion of legacy books of record to target state. The role is accountable to deliver significant customer and enterprise value through the conversion project(s) and by extension, the overall Savings and Investing Journey. This entails setting a strategic vision for the conversions in partnership with business, technology and vendor stakeholders and being accountable for the overall business outcomes.
Key accountabilities of the Senior Manager - Conversion include, but are not limited to, the following:
Business Owner for the End to End Investing Journey (E2EIJ) Conversion Project(s), responsible for enablement and execution of all necessary business oversight required to deliver the E2EIJ conversion activities
Partner collaboratively with Technology, PMO, cross-functional business leadership (including Wealth), and external vendors to effectively deliver committed outcomes
Lead a team of Business Analysts with direct and matrixed reports to achieve business results within the E2EIJ Conversion project(s)
Work collaboratively with business, technology and PMO partners to ensure alignment with TD requirements and delivery standards
Provide strong business leadership with key vendor partners participating in conversion activities including oversight over contracting, SOW's, SLA's, and resource allocations
Support future release planning activities in collaboration with business partners / stakeholders, technology and PMO as it relates to conversion activities
Support Conversion project planning activities in collaboration with program leadership (technology, PMO and Business partners)
Lead Change Management Activities in collaboration with Change Management team and all other related stakeholders
Accountable for ensuring all conversion business impacts are appropriately mitigated including operational design, process/procedure, regulatory, risk, customer and colleague experience
Problem solve with technology and business partners to resolve issues while preserving quality of deliverables
Lead executive level communication related to conversion activities across all levels of the organization with a proven ability to effectively communicate complex issues
Ensure conversions are delivered within agreed upon speed/cost targets while balancing the need for optimal business outcomes
Previous experience leading complex projects and/or programs of similar nature & size, leveraging a variety of delivery methodologies
Passionate about transforming the customer & colleague experience. Build strong consumer and market insights, monitoring competitors and evolution within the industry
Exceptional partner / stakeholder management and influencing skills
Proven ability to lead and motivate a large cross-functional team
Possess strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thoroughly investigate and make recommendations in a timely manner
Strong analytical skills and prior financial management experience; experience with business casing activities
Thrives in change environments, comfortable with ambiguity and prides themselves in the ability to remain resilient and lead through change
Attention to detail with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and management multiple deadlines and priorities
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal; ability to develop and articulate strategic recommendations
Previous experience managing a variety of unique channels (Branch, Phone, Digital etc)
Understanding of Mutual Funds, and/or Term Products as well as Registered Plans
Experience/Awareness with Risk Management Practices and Compliance with Regulations
Skill in mentoring, coaching and performance management
Ability to exercise sound judgement in making decisions
Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines
Experience with large technology conversions is an asset
Undergraduate degree and /or 10+ years relevant experience
MBA / graduate degree is an asset
