Ensure that a new PU member doing a new NPA is given the necessary training on the Bank's NPA requirements and identification and documentation of key risks and control mitigants. Or from time to time, provide updates on relevant changes in these areas to PUs.
Provide guidance to NPA writer in identification and documentation of key risks and control mitigants.
Execute T&M specific procedures and ensure that NPA is properly prepared, communicated & assessed, signed-off and approved.
Maintain and monitor T&M's NPA workplan (where applicable); prioritise competing NPAs and agree timeline for review and sign-off of NPAs.
Act as a focal point for issues raised by SUs, including:
Share and track issues and resolution with all sign-off parties ["SOP"]
Escalate unresolved issues between the PU and the relevant SPOs and non-compliance/ non-fulfilment to conditions imposed to the Group BU/SU COO, location Country Head (where applicable), RMG-Operational Risk Dept and relevant risk and control committees or forums
Timely circulation of NPA proposals for review, sign-off, approval, initiation and completion of PIRs.
Ensure that PU complies with agreed resolution of issues and adhere to restrictions/post launch conditions imposed by SOPs.
Update SUs of final sign-off status and issues/ comments (if any) raised by PU approver.
Ensure PU initiates or conduct PIR and where relevant follow up on responses from SOPs and ensure approval by the PU Head.
Monitor the status of NPA (review, sign-off, approval, launch, PIR, etc.) and report status periodically (including blockers) at senior management meeting/ control forum.
Maintain and monitor T&M's Model Validation requests workplan (where applicable); prioritise competing requests and track to ensure their completion.
Act as a focal point for model related issues raised by any model user (front or back office), including:
Share and track issues and resolution with Management.
Escalate unresolved issues to the model vendor Management (internal/ external).
Perform periodic risk-based review on the regional application of product risk and complexity framework. Act as a gatekeeper for the use of the framework. Perform periodic risk rating review with latest market data.
Originate new product booking schema details including the product typology and market operations. Ensure on-going maintenance and consistent application of this information.
Perform liaison functions with auditors during audit review period for information gathering and provision, issues resolutions and audit point follow-up.
Regionally, provide HO-level guidance/ assistance and source information on products and NPA Policy/ Standards and Procedures to location PU and BMS
University graduate with major in Business Management, Finance, Financial Engineering or Science.
Minimum 8 years of work experience in Treasury or Treasury related support/ control functions.
Added advantage if possess working knowledge with financial market/ products, their processes & technologies and understand their associated risks.
Broad based experience with focus in risk and control background; strong project management, people, communication and organisational skills.
Strongly committed & highly self-motivated with keen learning aptitude.
Experiences in Treasury front and/or back end systems such as Murex, Front Arena, are useful.
