Under general direction, performs professional duties which involve engaging the community to a broad range of Parks and Recreation programs, services, and facilities for the general public including arts, socialization, science and nature, sports, aquatics, wellness, and special events, including programs for persons with disabilities and youth-at-risk. Develops strategic communications to enhance department brand and community engagement through special events and a variety of media.
Bachelor's degree in recreation administration, business administration, communication, leisure studies, marketing or equivalent from an educational institution accredited by a DOE recognized accreditation body required. Must pass criminal background check.
Experience with publication layout and graphic design, writing, editing, digital communications and social media preferred.
