Position Summary: The Chronic Disease Self-Management Lab seeks to hire a Senior Research Associate to start in Fall 2019. The Senior Research Associate will conduct clinical research and provide lab oversight. The candidate should have a strong track record of active clinical research, project management, and peer-reviewed publications. Preference will be given to candidates with a background in behavioral health, health psychology, diabetes and chronic illness management, epidemiology or social determinants of health.
Project Director for the NIH-Funded R01 on Function and Emotion in Everyday Life with Type 1 Diabetes (FEEL-T1D) which will include completion of a study using ecological momentary assessment to determine medication adherence in type 1 diabetes, data management and analysis (with input from outside external expert consultants)
Perform grant-writing activities for new research projects and the renewal of the NY-Regional Center for Diabetes Translation Research
Contributing to research manuscripts in primarily peer reviewed journal articles, potentially as a co-author or first author on these manuscripts
Serve as the Lab Manager supervising Ferkauf graduate students, post-doctoral fellows, research assistants and other collaborators to ensure efficiency and productivity across our research projects
Provide administrative support as needed, conduct participant assessments and contribute to recruitment efforts for research studies being conducted by Dr. Gonzalez and colleagues
Participation in research-oriented meetings and activities at Ferkauf and Einstein to support grant-writing and primary investigator responsibilities
