This position is responsible for providing oversight and coordination for the Early Childhood Education program, which includes degree and certificate programs. The successful candidate for Coordinator will have deep knowledge of workforce development and the role of community colleges in providing competency-based training and high-quality academic preparation. The Project Coordiantor is expected to advance existing employer, industry, and educational partnerships and collaborations for the College and to create new ones. The Project Coordinator will work with faculty and staff to ensure high quality academic and support services, and assist with the launch of the newly-created Child Development Associate Plus credential. Responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to faculty/staff management; curriculum development; academic planning; student learning and program outcome assessment; program review and evaluation; strategic planning; management of the academic course schedule; and budget management for the Early Childhood Education program.
Supervision Received: This position reports to the Associate Vice President of Career Programs or designee.
Supervision Exercised: This position is responsible for the supervision of faculty and staff in the division.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead the development and implementation of the Child Development Associate Plus credential.
Provide leadership to faculty/staff in the development of coursework, career advising, and academic advising for the Child Development Associate Plus credential.
Manage grant budgets, reporting, and invoicing in a timely manner and in compliance with all state and federal laws.
Participate in community-enrichment activities with local and regional organizations, including advisory boards, to ensure relevance of curricula
Align curricula with National Association for the Education of Young Children standards.
Engage in professional development to maintain and develop areas of expertise.
Demonstrate support for the college staff diversity plan.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: (All candidates must have legal authorization to work in the United States.)
Master's degree in Early Childhood Education from a regionally accredited institution.
Five years of experience in the field of Early Childhood Education.
Experience with project management and grant management.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Excellent time management, organizational, and computer software skills.
Knowledge of local and community organizations.
Evening and weekend availability.
Teaching or administrative experience in an urban community college.
Proficiency in a second language, Spanish or Haitian Creole preferred.
