The University of Maryland, Baltimore School of Dentistry (UMSOD) is recruiting for a Strategic Support Project Manager to assist Leadership in advancing the strategic and operational objectives of the School. This position develops and implements business models for efficient and effective operational processes to support partnerships and academic initiatives.
This position applies in-depth, senior level knowledge, concepts, principles, and skills, and has wide latitude in decision making to interpret unclear or inadequate guidelines. The position proactively resolves broad and unique matters requiring sophisticated analysis and interpretation, and acts as resource to others.

Performs complex analysis and evaluation of data, inclusive of data mining, predictive analysis, and forecasting; provides interpretation and guidance to Leadership to support School of Dentistry strategic planning, program development, operational changes, budget development, etc.
In collaboration with programmatic leadership, develops strategy, constructs business models, program work plans, long-term goals, and other strategic objectives to build and operationalize the program(s) and advance the mission.
Develops novel strategies to support consistent business and operational practices, measurement of outcomes, achievement, and performance. Assures that project practices and outcomes are aligned with programmatic and university mission and strategic direction.
Analyzes workflow for major processes associated with development of programs and partnerships that result in improved clinical, academic and financial performance.
Uses innovation to redesign processes to achieve efficiencies and effective use of human technical resources. Identifies approaches for continuous quality improvement.
Monitors programmatic performance and trends as well as financial goals. Aligns standards and practices to support business and operational practices.
Provides oversight for programmatic budgets by analyzing expenditures with an understanding of the relationship of the program objectives and the budget process, and using cost benefit analysis for budgetary expenditures.
Serves as integral member to support the growth and development of new and existing programs.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education : Bachelor's degree in business or related field. Master's degree in healthcare administration or business administration preferred.
Experience : Minimum of four years of business, administration or clinical operations in a healthcare setting. Strongly prefer six years plus in an Academic Institution. Including at least two (2) years of process improvement/analysis experience.
Other : Master's degree in directly related field may substitute for two years of experience.

Ability to effectively communicate both verbal and written thoughts, ideas, and facts. Ability to work cooperatively with others and independently.
