This position is at the Learning Research and Development Center (LRDC), a multi-disciplinary center for research to advance the science of learning by bringing together leading researchers in the cognitive, social, and educational sciences.
The primary responsibility of this position is to assist with a research study examining how parents promote early learning in their toddlers and preschool-aged children. The study consists of multiple testing sessions for parents and their children conducted in families' homes and parent interviews conducted over the phone as well as information obtained from children's teachers. Job duties include transferring and archiving video- and audio-recordings obtained by other project staff, retaining accurate experimental records and files, managing databases, and assigning coding tasks to undergraduate research assistants.
Baccalaureate in Psychology or related field. PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check, and FBI Criminal Record Check will be required as a condition of employment. This position must have basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, email, and internet search); the position also requires excellent digital data management and organizational skills. Experience with REDCap a plus.
Degree in psychology or related field. Experience working with young children required.
