Indian Creek School is an independent coeducational day school offering a broad curriculum in the liberal arts. Founded in 1973, Indian Creek School enrolls approximately 550 students in grades Pre-K3 through twelve from diverse ethnic, racial, religious, and economic backgrounds. This full time, 12-month position, reports to the Head of School who is seeking a partner in the leadership of the institution. The Assistant Head will have primary responsibility for leading successful enrollment and retention programming and promotion of the school’s academic excellence, which is rooted in inclusivity, family centeredness, and the development of each student’s ability to learn.

Lead at the institutional level and join an administration and a school community that is immersed in the most dynamic period of the school's history
Serve on the senior administrative team and as the de facto Head of School in the Head’s absence. Attend all full Board meetings and serve on Board sub-committees as assigned
Lead the Enrollment and Retention committee of school administrators and supervise an admissions and flexible tuition staff of four, the Communications Director, the Technology Director and the Operations & Sustainability Director
Enhance Indian Creek’s brand and presence through strategic marketing and outreach initiatives. Increasing admissions application volume, summer school program enrollment and the number of internal and external students in the blended learning BLINC program will be primary goals
Develop and maintain the school’s website and digital media presence, and the Admissions Offices’ application and enrollment systems to best-in-class level
Build on existing marketing and communications efforts and use an entrepreneurial spirit to innovate existing programs in order to make them stronger
Oversee important operational areas of the school, including technology and operations/facilities. Other areas of oversight to be determined based on experience
Demonstrate a deep understanding of independent school trends, strategic planning, and personnel and office leadership
All other duties as assigned
Prior leadership experience in enrollment management. Candidates with significant admissions, flexible tuition, enrollment, or college advising experience will be given the highest priority
An extensive understanding of the independent school admissions landscape
Experience in promoting a school through outreach and marketing initiatives, employing retention strategies, and balancing access, affordability and selectivity goals throughout an admissions and enrollment program are required.
A sophisticated understanding of flexible tuition processes, affordability, and tuition pricing.
Managing a broad portfolio of responsibilities and multiple direct reports and experience in providing performance feedback to employees is essential
The ability to analyze data skillfully while demonstrating familiarity with best-in-class operating systems. Must have the ability to integrate and develop systems that operate at a high level for both school users and for external audiences
Experience with blended learning or online learning platforms. Increasing enrollment of the BLINC program (a blended/online learning platform) for both internal and external audiences will be a primary goal for the Assistant Head
Experience with website design and best practices in digital media
Possess the desire to interact with the extended community: trustees, students, faculty, staff, parents, guardians, alumni, and applicants
