This position provides assistance to the User Engagement & Assessment Department with communication and logistics of event and exhibit planning and promotion, campaign management, resource assessment, and user engagement.
Maintain and coordinate event and exhibit calendars.
Assist with internal and external communication of events, exhibits, and programs.
Facilitate reservations of spaces, tables, lawn signs, and other resources for events and programs.
Facilitate campus Marketing & Communication requests to communicate events, program announcements, and other library information.
Assist with communication on social media channels.
Design and print promotional materials for programs and events to include flyers, posters, etc.
Coordinate the rearrangement of furniture for setup and tear down of internal/external events.
Contribute to outreach activities by participating in campus and community-related events.
Provide assistance at the Ask Us Desk when needed.
Assist with the library's student advisory group and user experience initiatives.
Perform other duties as assigned.
High School Diploma or GED.
Three (3) years of related library experience
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
A commitment to customer service to interact and work courteously and effectively with students, faculty, staff, and the public to engage with users and advocate for library services and resources.
Ability to move medium weight boxes, books, heavy book truck or similar items.
Ability to work beyond normal office hours and/ or work on weekends.
Event planning and/or promotion experience.
Ability to plan and carry out projects.
Creativity and an innovative mindset.
