| The UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy, in cooperation with PPD, Inc., sponsors two-year fellowships in clinical research and drug development. Fellowship objectives are to provide training and experience in critical aspects of drug development research, including: - Study design, methodology, and conduct of Phase I-IV studies;
- Development of research protocols including regulatory, Institutional Review Board, and grant submission;
- Principles and applications of biostatistical and data analysis, pharmacokinetics and pharmacogenomics;
- Abstract, poster, and platform presentation and publication of study findings;
- Project management, pharmacovigilance and safety, and global strategic development and feasibility; and
- Selection, setup, and monitoring study sites.
Fellows will spend the first year of appointment at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill under the direction of UNC faculty. The second year of appointment will be spent on location at the fellowship sponsor's research facilities in the Research Triangle Park, North Carolina.
