JobSummary/Essential Job Functions: Under the direction of an assignedsupervisor, this position supports Dry Eye Disease projects. Focuses on theimplementation of research studies, research regulatory management, studyrecruitment/retention, data collection, manuscript/grant submission, directcommunity outreach, and coordination of all communication/marketing needsassociated with an observational/community-based outreach program.
Coordinates relationships with community partners, academic collaborators, research participants and stakeholders in-person, by phone, or email. May attend community program events and face-to-face meetings.
Creates, oversees, and assists in recruitment event planning and execution, as well as with marketing/public relations/advertising of the program.
Records metric program recruitment results. Troubleshoots and assesses accrual.
Contributes ideas and suggestions for all phases of assigned project(s). Assists in all participant retention activities for assigned project(s), as directed.
Assures the long-term success of our program's relationships with all participants, collaborators, and staff for assigned project(s).
Develops manual of operations for research studies and implements research protocols.
Oversees studies that involve administering study questionnaires (mail, telephone, face-to-face), oversees web-based data collection, and interviews study participants.
Maintains detailed records of study activities, enters all research data into the qualitative software, and problem solves, as necessary.
Manages and oversees adherence of all regulatory issues and requirements specified by IRB.
Participates in data and resource collection, storage management, auditing, and security as directed. Assists Principal Investigators (PI's) with patient examinations and data collection, per protocol.
Assists with the production of reports, research summaries, business plans, and patient-directed materials, scientific meeting abstracts, academic publications, lay publications, and grant submissions, as directed by research and program leadership.
Supervises and/or directs participation in our program's digital outreach, including website(s), blog(s), and social media accounts.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
