We are seeking a Project Coordinator/Estimator for our company. He/she will be an integral member of the project team responsible for estimating and delivering building development projects of varying size and complexity. The Project Coordinator/Estimator is responsible for estimating, directing, organizing, and controlling project activities, under the direction of a project manager & project director.
Scope of Responsibilities
Responsible for being the technical lead for bids and estimates that include system deployments, upgrades, expansions, etc.
Attend client meetings and assist with determination of project requirements
Assist the Project Manager in drafting and issuance of project proposals, RFP's, tenders, budgets, cash flows, and preliminary schedules
Prepare project organization and communication charts
Chair site meetings and distribute minutes to all project team members
Track the progress and quality of work being performed by design disciplines/trades
Use project scheduling and control tools to monitor project plans, work hours, begets, and expenditures
Effectively and accurately communicate relevant project information to the client and project team
Ensure clients' needs are met in a timely and cost-effective manner
Review field inspection reports from Consultants throughout the lifecycle of the project
Issue contracts, letters of intent, purchase orders, etc.
Maintain contract execution tracking log
Assist the PM in the review of Contractor quotations to ensure that only fair and reasonable pricing is recommended for approval
Track and manage contemplated change notices and change orders in the database
Prepare substantial completion certificates and ensure all required projects close-out documents are obtained
Communicate ideas for improving company processes with a positive and constructive attitude, and for developing this attitude in others
Keep the Project Manager (PM) and others informed about project status and issues that may impact client relations
Undergraduate degree in engineering, architectural, construction management, or an equivalent of 5 years of estimating experience
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
Working knowledge of computers and experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
Professional work demeanor including solid interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to either lead or be a part of a team for multiple projects at any one given time
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task
5 years of estimating experience
Working knowledge of Procore Software
Working knowledge of Bluebeam Revu
Working knowledge of Sage Timberline Estimating Software
Working knowledge of Microsoft Project and/or Primavera
Familiar with both conceptual and self-perform estimating
