Job Summary: Reporting to the Senior Director of Development, Campaign (SDD), the Campaign Analyst works autonomously coordinating many important projects and events on behalf of the SDD and a team of five University Development (central) campaign major gift fundraisers.
Provides analyst-level support in the day-to-day operations of the campaign with a specific emphasis on prospect analysis, donor stewardship, project management, meeting and event planning, coordination and execution. Provides staffing, project management, analytical and operations expertise to the campaign team. Assists other senior development staff on special projects and events including department-wide projects. Provides support at all levels of the UC Davis fundraising enterprise as needed.
Works independently on projects related to the campaign, including campaign Big Ideas tracking and analysis. Develops and maintain complex reports; these reports will be used to inform university leadership of long-term project viability. Personal responsibility for donor and volunteer communication related to the coordination and management of campaign strategy meetings and complex campus visits. Uses multiple databases to extract complex, technical data to formulate reports and manages travel budgets for all campaign development officers.
Builds positive, strategic relationships with campus partners to advance campaign priorities, while providing the highest level of project management and analytical support and customer service. Create and maintain relationships with development officers, relationship managers, senior managers, and others.
Work Environment: Must provide own transportation to off-site events and meetings.
Work hours outside standard 8 a.m.-5 p.m. schedule.
Travel as needed outside normal working hours to staff regional events.

Minimum Qualifications: Knowledge of the fundraising profession and of contemporary issues and methods of fundraising.
Project management experience in fast-paced environment with competing demands, including skills to strategically plan and implement successful events working with large/small volunteer groups in a leadership capacity.
Experience working in a professional office environment that requires strong communication skills, both written and verbal, interpersonal skills and an acute understanding of customer service and business processes to create and maintain professional, collaborative relationships with colleagues, donors, volunteers, senior campus leadership.
Experience using critical thinking, organizational and time management skills to provide administrative, analytical and program support to high-level executives in a highly confidential, fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Advanced writing, editing, and proofreading skills to produce correspondence, briefings, reports, and other written materials that reflect the high standards and professionalism of an executive office; experience editing copy for correct grammar, spelling and punctuation.
Advanced experience using computer software (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.) to produce complex spreadsheets and reports, extract data, database management, and create presentations, project calendars, correspondence and detailed briefing materials.
Experience creating, managing and monitoring budgets and providing return on investment evaluations.
Professional experience and political acumen to handle sensitive or difficult situations diplomatically, to represent high level executives with tact and discretion, and to work effectively and sensitively with constituents from diverse cultural backgrounds and perspectives.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience participating in major fundraising efforts, ideally a major comprehensive campaign, in a college, university, non-profit organization, or other large complex institution.
Experience in absorbing complex technical and conceptual information, identifying key issues and details, and presenting understandable alternatives, both orally and in writing, to individuals of varying technical expertise at all levels of the organization.
Familiarity with campus-wide offices, administrative contacts, campus structure and resources.
Familiarity with online survey tools and data extraction, such as Survey Monkey or Qualtrics.
Experience with Advance (AIS), Aggie Travel, DaFis, Aggie Buy.
