POSITION SUMMARY/OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB
This is an opportunity to take a leading role in the growth of Funds Services within Citi Melbourne. The individual will be responsible for working with business, technology and operations teams to gather analyse and document requirements for implementation of new processes & system functionalities.
The role requires good understanding of fund service operations as the role requires client interaction and the ability to break down business requirements into functional specifications for technology teams.
Ability to work successfully on multiple projects and different stakeholders at the same time is pivotal for this role.
Analyse requirements using interviews, document analysis and requirements workshops.
Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
Effective documentation of business and functional requirements in specified templates
Process mapping of As Is and To Be business processes clearly showing benefits and potential improvements.
Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Work independently with users to define concepts and under direction of project managers.
Drive and challenge business units on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans.
Strong project management skills to ensure timely and controlled execution of changes
Stakeholder (external & internal) expectation management and proactive escalation / reporting of issues that could impact project timelines or objectives
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
Serves as the conduit between the customer community (internal and external customers) and the software development team through which requirements flow.
Be the liaison between the business units, technology teams and support teams.
Understand risk & control requirements in Citi and ensure changes are implemented in accordance with the same.
Ensure the business unit maintains the ethical standards contained in the Code of Conduct.
Adhere to firm policies and procedures, regulatory and legislative requirement.
KEY COMPETENCIES / SKILLS
Business analysis skills including proactive identification of process improvement opportunities.
Good knowledge of Project Management concepts and ability to keep stakeholders accountable for respective project deliverables
Advanced knowledge of fund administration (Fund Accounting and Transfer Agency)
Ability to meet deliverables accurately and on time.
Proficient in the use of MS Office tools including Project Plan and Visio
Good understanding databases (e.g. Oracle), file transfer procedures etc.
Knowledge of financial services industry
Understanding of different financial instruments / investment options
Understanding of global financial markets.
Significant industry experience within Financial Markets (particularly Fund Accounting), a varied knowledge would be preferable.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Technology or Business Studies.
Business analysis or Project Management certification would be an advantage
5+ years of business analysis experience
2+ years of change/project management experience
2+ years in Fund accounting processes or projects
