The College Readiness Liaison is responsible for coordinating the outreach and delivery of services to the grant partner high schools in Burlington County. The Liaison is responsible for building relationships within the identified high schools and connecting the students within the grant to educational opportunities through the college. The Liaison promotes a positive and professional climate among staff and collaborates with other functional areas of the College.
OVERALL PURPOSE AND RESPONSIBILITY
The most important overall responsibility of all RCBC employees is to provide service in a pleasant, helpful, and effective manner to our students, members of the college community and the public.
Accepts responsibility for the timely preparation of student outcomes assessment efforts of the faculty in planning, collecting data, and reporting dates as they relate to course outcomes, program outcomes, general education outcomes, and developmental program outcomes. Actively participates in setting annual division goals and objectives, completing OIR reporting forms, collecting data, analyzing data, and preparing a report using guidelines established by OIR.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Establish connections with the high school faculty and administration connected to the grant to enhance levels of service and improve student transition to college.
Create and facilitate an outreach and event calendar with teachers, college faculty, high school programs and parents.
Develop the schedule for pre and post testing with both the schools and the RCBC Test Center for all students identified by the high school for participation in this program.
Collaborate with high school and college staff to develop college transition programs and facilitate all aspects of the grant required programming.
Collaborate with Marketing to create and update branded collateral for print, e-mail, and digital as needed to promote the current program and educate students, parents and teachers on the college readiness goals.
Track and compile all data needed for grant related requirements and complete all grant related paperwork in conjunction with the Dean of Student Success.
Review and recommend, in consult with high school and college faculty, new methods for instruction that improve student attainment of college ready skills and preparation for college transitions.
Assist with the tracking of students who enroll in the college after completing the college readiness program.
Ensure quality, timely customer service to the teachers, administrative staff, students and parents within the program.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Associates Degree required; Bachelors preferred
Two to four years previous experience within high school or college environment working on grant related projects with curriculum connections.
Experience with high school curriculum and college developmental programs.
Experience with presentations to diverse and multi-generational audiences
Professional experience (or extensive knowledge) in community college developmental programs
Skill in developing and managing outreach efforts to a variety of diverse audiences.
Ability to use innovation and imagination to expand potential audiences and partnerships.
Handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail.
Comfort and familiarity with collecting, analyzing, and reporting data.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
Exceptional customer service skill and a student focused demeanor.
